Christian Technology and Media Carnival: First Edition

CarnieWelcome to our new bi-weekly showcase of Christian Technology and Media Articles!  We’re so totally excited to put together some of the finest minds in the field of Christian Media and Technology, and we’re hoping to achieve the goal of the synergistic advancement the Kingdom of God through the strategic application of technology.

Now, I know that some of you didn’t actually submit your articles to this carnival.  That’s one of the growing pains associated with starting a new carnival: soliciting participation.  So I’ve gone out and selected a few good articles and some decent conversations on the net and added them into the mix.  Thanks for the understanding.

With no further ado, here’s the first edition of the Christian Technology and Media Carnival:

First on the list is Pastor Greg Pusateri with his article entitled, “The Florida Revival: Using Technology To Advance The Kingdom.” Pastor Greg explores the cool ways in which the ministers of the Lakeland Outpouring are leveraging technology to facilitate that move of the spirit.

Next, Cynthia Ware discusses the phenomenon of social networking and how it relates to the mission of the church in her article “The Social Web: Waste of Time or Killer Faith App?” Cynthia is one of the early adopters of the technology of blogging to the Kingdom, and we eagerly devour everything that she writes.  Check her out.

Ripechurch.com put out an article entitled “Technology in the Church.” It’s an interesting look at how technology ties in to the ultimate goal of reaching the masses for Christ.  I like his blog, and I’ve added it to my blogroll.  The writing on this site is concise, and to the point.  No nonsense here.

That’s it.  Next time, I hope that you’ll all submit something for consideration so I can stop hunting down good articles.  Thanks for reading, and please don’t mind the picture of the weird carnival people.  What’s a carnival without a carnie?

Is there going to be no more of this Carnival. I’ve submitted for the next and have heard nothing towards it.

If its a matter of hosting it for a week, that’s something I’d be comfortable with doing as well.
